Brian Christensen
Brian Christensen (he/him), an artist and educator, holds an MFA degree from Washington University in St. Louis and currently serves as an associate Professor of Art at Brigham Young University. His pedagogical focus encompasses ceramics, sculpture, 3D design, and various studio courses, where he has passionately contributed to the evolution of the sculpture and ceramics programs within the BYU Department of Art’s 3D studio area. His sculptural legacy spans a variety of public works in the state of Utah, including the Rose Wagoner Performing Art Center in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake City’s Broadway Cinema Plaza, Springville City’s public art collection, Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, and the BYU Department of Dance in Provo, Utah. Brian Christensen’s artistic direction is shaped by the physical world as well as issues of perception, both of which combine to form connections with the viewer.
