Mark Rane
Mark Rane (he/him) is a sculptor, designer, and educator whose work is driven by a deep love for drawing, outdoor exploration, and creative inquiry. He began his academic journey studying art at Brigham Young University, where a foundation in observation and making continues to inform his practice today. Mark’s creative work is rooted in a hands-on, exploratory process. His sketchbooks—filled with studies of friends, colleagues, and the world around him—often serve as the starting point for sculptural works in which form, gesture, and human connection converge. Working full-time as an artist, he focuses on creating public and studio projects that invite curiosity, reflection, and engagement. He lives and works in St. George, Utah, with his wife and four children.
