Michael Murdock

Michael Murdock (he/him) is a muralist, illustrator, and artist from Salt Lake City, Utah. The subject matter in his murals and paintings often contain elements of humor, solitude, and trying to find one’s own special place in the universe. His artwork often consists of reclaimed wood, found materials, and mixed media. He draws inspiration from his home state of Utah, discarded objects, skateboarding, magic, railroad hobos, folklore, outer space, life, death, and everything in between. His work consciously aims to fall somewhere between fine art and a knock-knock joke. He also has a hard time referring to himself in third person.
