Brooklyn Ottens

Brooklyn Ottens (she/her) has always called Utah home and has lived in downtown Salt Lake City for the past 17 years. As a studio artist, she creates multimedia works using pen & ink, acrylic, oil, and spray paint on paper and wood panels. Brooklyn also specializes in murals, sign painting, installation design, graphic design and art panel fabrication. She has created murals for The Gateway and KRCL, South Salt Lake, Salt Lake City Arts Council, and Logan City; and helped the brand identity of local businesses such as Parea, Skillets, Cannella’s, Este Pizzeria, Cosmic Flow, and Guthrie Artist Studios by creating hand-painted signage, vinyl, and marketing material for them. Since 2019, Brooklyn has managed projects and assisted local SLC muralist Matt Monsoon. She’s had the pleasure of helping him paint nearly 2 dozen public and private commissions across Utah; assisting with all painting, prep, budget, inventory, scheduling, payroll, and site management.
