Caro Nilsson
Caro Nilsson (she/her) is a painter and muralist whose work is about an inextricable relationship with the land, and all the human and non-human influences therein. Her impressionistic landscape paintings straddle the line between real and imaginary – understanding the notion that everything is always both. Caro finds deep purpose in communicating about this relationship through public art, which is a form of love. Her work aims to build stronger communities through connection, dialogue, and care. It recognizes that all built environments are part of larger ecological contexts, and honors that humans are only one small part among many: we belong to each other and to these places. Caro has a background in architectural design and has worked in the architecture field for just shy of a decade. She has been practicing art full-time since 2021.
