Honovi Design
Jessica Wiarda (she/her) is a muralist, designer, and cultural educator based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She incorporates her Hopi and Tewa heritage into vibrant murals and wearable art. Jessica’s work blends traditional Native American Hopi designs with contemporary color palettes and design trends. She is the director and co-founder of Utah Indigenous Fashion Week, a nonprofit organization that highlights Indigenous fashion and culture on the runway. Jessica has collaborated on various creative projects with organizations such as the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, Patagonia, Women of Bears Ears, the University of Utah, Project Open Apartment Complex, Mural Fest, and many others. Her highly collaborative approach to mural creation aims to help the public understand the complexities and beauty of all Indigenous nations. Through her work, she seeks to educate the public on various Indigenous issues, benefiting both rural and urban communities alike.
