The Salt Lake City Arts Council invites artists and artist-led teams residing in the Utah to submit qualifications for potential inclusion the 2020-2022 Pre-Qualified Artist Pool. The Pool will be used to select artists for commissions for a range of new public art projects.
The purpose of the Pool is to commission more Utah artists for local projects and to integrate more artwork and artistic elements into citywide infrastructure while successfully meeting project schedules. Additionally, the public art program has seen increased interest from private developers, local businesses, and community members wanting to connect with local artists for their own projects. Beginning this year, artists in the Pool will have an option to be included on an artist roster that is available to the community and other entities that may commission public art.
